Asma merupakan penyakit inflamasi kronik, kadangkala memerlukan tata laksana jangka panjang. Program komunikasi, informasi, dan edukasi (KIE) merupakan bagian tata laksana asma. Dengan penerapan program KIE diharap dapat mengurangi kekambuhan asma, meningkatkan pengetahuan, mengurangi biaya pengobatan dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Dibutuhkan kerjasama unsur terkait pada tata laksana asma.
