Diagnosis dan Tata Laksana Infeksi Virus Hepatitis C pada Anak dengan Penyakit Ginjal Kronik di Indonesia

Latar belakang. Anak dengan penyakit ginjal kronik yang memerlukan hemodialisis merupakan kelompok risiko tinggi terjadinya infeksi virus hepatitis C. Infeksi virus hepatitis C pada anak dengan penyakit ginjal kronik memerlukan diagnosis dan tata laksana adekuat untuk mencegah progresifitas penyakit dan komplikasi menjadi karsinoma hepatoselular.
Tujuan. Menelaah lebih lanjut diagnosis dan tata laksana infeksi virus hepatitis C pada anak dengan penyakit ginjal kronik di Indonesia.
Metode. Penelusuran pustaka database elektronik, yaitu instrumen pencari Pubmed®, EBSCOHost®, dan penelusuran manual. Kata kunci yang digunakan adalah (“children” atau “pediatric”) dan “hepatitis C” dan “end stage renal disease” dan “treatment” dengan menggunakan batasan. Penelitian berbentuk kasus-kontrol, kohort, maupun potong lintang, dipublikasikan dalam bahasa Indonesia atau Inggris, dan diterbitkan dalam 20 tahun terakhir (2002-2022).
Hasil. Ditemukan enam artikel yang relevan terhadap pertanyaan klinis. Hasil telaah kritis dan telaah berdasarkan validity, importance dan applicability.
Kesimpulan. Hepatitis C pada anak seringkali tanpa gejala atau gejala ringan, memerlukan konfirmasi melalui pemeriksaan molekular. Terapi VHC pada anak PGK yang menjalani hemodialisis kontroversial, tetapi dosis disesuaikan interferon dan ribavirin dapat mencegah progresi penyakit. Klinisi harus mendiagnosis dan mengelola infeksi VHC pada anak PGK untuk mendukung eliminasi hepatitis pada 2030 sesuai target WHO
